Onsite - Stockdog Lesson

Lessons are tailored to the individual dog and handler and may include instinct assessment, foundational stock exposure, skill development, or problem-solving, depending on experience level. Sessions are guided by Canine Relational Theory, emphasizing clarity, timing, pressure and release, and the development of calm, capable working partnerships. Participants can expect a supportive, educational environment with hands-on coaching, thoughtful observation, and an emphasis on safety for people, dogs, and livestock. Lessons may involve sheep, goats, or other livestock depending on availability and training goals. All instruction is paced with the welfare of the animals and the mental state of the dog in mind. Handlers are encouraged to arrive curious, present, and open to learning. Stockdog work is as much about developing feel, awareness, and timing as it is about the dog itself. Each session is an opportunity to build understanding, not just train behaviors.
