Spring Fever - Stock(wo)man Retreat - May 29-31
Spring Fever Stock(wo)man’s RetreatMay 29–31 | Nordika Stockdogs
There’s a point in the season where everything starts to wake up again. The ground softens, the air shifts, and something in us follows. This retreat was built in that space — not as an escape from life, but as a return to it. A return to working with purpose, to being present with your dog, and to remembering what it feels like to slow down enough to actually notice what’s happening in front of you.
Over three days, you’ll step into a rhythm that blends work, rest, and connection in a way that feels both grounding and expansive. Mornings begin quietly, with coffee or tea in hand, easing into conversation around mindset, awareness, and the pieces that shape how we show up — not just in the field, but everywhere else too. From there, we move into the day with intention, working dogs on stock, not from a place of pressure or performance, but from a place of curiosity and relationship. The livestock becomes part of the conversation, your dog becomes your partner, and the work starts to reveal more than just mechanics.
There is space here for movement and stillness alike. Yoga sessions offer a chance to reconnect with your own body — to soften where you’ve been holding, to find balance again, to breathe. Pack walks take us out across the land, dogs moving together, people falling into step beside one another, conversations unfolding without force. It’s simple, but it’s the kind of simple that reminds you what matters.
Evenings bring us back together. Shared meals on Friday and Saturday, good food, stories passed across the table, the kind of laughter that only comes when people feel at ease. You’ll settle into onsite camping, staying close to the experience, letting the days blend into one another without interruption. There’s something about staying in it — not leaving at the end of the day — that allows everything to land a little deeper.
This retreat is open to anyone who feels the pull toward this work. Whether you’re just beginning or have been at it for years, what matters most is your willingness to show up — with your dog, with yourself, and with the process. There’s no expectation here to perform or prove anything. Just an invitation to step in, be present, and let the experience shape you in its own way.
Because in the end, this isn’t just about working dogs. It’s about how you move through pressure, how you find clarity, how you learn to respond instead of react. It’s about building something steady inside yourself, and letting that carry through into everything you do.
Come as you are. Bring your dog. Stay a while.
