Service Description

Our Intro to Canine Stockmanship Class is designed for beginners looking to build a strong foundation in herding with their dog. This class focuses on the essential skills and knowledge needed for both handlers and dogs to succeed in stock work. What You’ll Learn: • Livestock Awareness & Welfare: Understand the behavior and needs of livestock and how to prioritize their care and wellbeing during training. • Herding Foundations: Learn the basics of herding, including reading your dog and livestock, positioning, and timing. • Assessing Your Dog’s Herding Style: Identify and understand your dog’s natural instincts and herding tendencies. • Introduction to Canine Relational Theory: Explore the principles of mind, space, and pressure, combined with your dog’s natural drives, to create a well-rounded, effective training approach. Program Details: • Format: Participants attend a series of structured classes to develop a comprehensive understanding of herding fundamentals. • Who Can Attend: Open to all breeds and experience levels—perfect for anyone new to stockmanship or looking to build a solid starting point. Additional Printable resources will be provided to participants to maximize learning outcome. Whether you’re exploring herding as a new hobby or laying the groundwork for competitive stock work, this class provides the tools you need to succeed. Cancellation Policy

Booking & Cancellation Policy At Nordika Stockdogs, we aim to provide a fair and transparent booking experience for all clients. Please review our policies carefully before booking: Private Lessons • 24-Hour Cancellation or Rescheduling Notice Required: • If you cancel or request to reschedule a private lesson with at least 24 hours’ notice, you are eligible for: • A full refund, or • The opportunity to reschedule at no additional charge. • Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling. • Missed lessons without notice (no-shows) will also be forfeited. Group Classes (Including Intro to Canine Stockmanship Class) • Non-Refundable and No Make-Up Sessions: • Once payment is made and your spot is confirmed, all fees are non-refundable. • If you are unable to attend a group class or session, it will be forfeited, and no make-up classes will be offered. • This policy ensures consistency and fairness to all participants and helps maintain the structure of our programs. General Terms • By booking with Nordika Stockdogs, you agree to adhere to this policy. • In exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies), exceptions may be considered at the sole discretion of Nordika Stockdogs.
